Online Platforms Reaction Numerous buyers and vendors are expressing on platforms stating that platform listings now display a different size category versus the original listing due to the recalibration. The company said the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces. The platform has recommended to review their products and adjust the sizing manually if necessary, resulting in member annoyance. Sizing System Changes Before the change, the measurements included a single numeric size and a letter, for instance S/8 or M/10. The revised method features a letter with a size spectrum like S/UK 8-10. With some products, the measurements have been reclassified - for example a size L was formerly size 12 but is now a UK 16-18. User Experiences A fashion influencer, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. Another user, based in Glasgow, said garments she listed featuring size 14 markings were showing in the marketplace as measurements 20-22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they're going to be very disappointed," she stated. Manual Updates Another shopper, based in Derby, explained she became annoyed due to the update requiring manual adjustment the sizes on "every single listing". "Personally, this is quite irritating, as I'm chronically ill and selling on Vinted has been paramount after experiencing income reduction," she said.
